Overview

This position works closely with the department manager to ensure all customer service reps are trained appropriately to serve our patients and their needs.  The position serves as the most experienced or skilled customer service associate and is cross trained and functions in all areas of customer service and also trains and interviews new hires, and assumes limited supervisory duties as needed.  Assists CSR’s with service recovery, difficult patient interactions as necessary.  Must have knowledge of all insurance products.  Also works closely with the early out vendors and serves as the point of contact of them.   All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

  • General application knowledge of EXCEL, WORD, and ACCESS.
  • Proven applicable experience working in an environment that utilizes electronic billing, internal report archives, and tools for applicable database management.
  • 1 to 3 years working experience of Hospital or Physician office billing and collection processes including producing account customer service relations with positive outcomes.
  • Proven applicable experience of preparing complex correspondence to resolve accounts
  • Effective communication skills verbally and written with internal Hospital departments, Physician Offices, Patient, and Insurance payors.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Must be able to effectively manage a large volume of accounts and issues while maintaining a high accuracy and positive outcomes.

 

Education: 

  • High School Diploma
  • Prefer applicant with associates degrees and/or some applicable college courses.
