Overview

Accountable for day to day operations of the Childlife, Canines for Coping, Arts in Medicine, Music
Therapy, and Caring House Services. Including effective management of clinical systems, human
resources, financial management, and environmental management. Promotes collaborative practice with
other departments, physicians, and exhibits the ability to work with others to find solutions to difficult
human, technical, or administrative problems. Must be able to adjust to and lead others through a rapidly
changing environment. As a clinician, evaluates patients and families to provide therapeutic,
developmentally appropriate interventions. Demonstrates through behavior Huntsville Hospital's mission,

Responsibilities

Seeking a Child Life and Integrative Care Manager who has supervisory responsibility of the Child Life Specialists (CLS), Music Therapy, Canines for Coping, Arts in Medicine, and the Caring House programs to include the oversight of the program development as well as therapeutic activities and appropriate psychosocial/developmental care for pediatric and adolescent patients and families. In cooperation with other members of the health care team, integrates therapeutic interventions with overall care and treatment of patients within the healthcare setting.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, Master's preferred.

 

Experience:

  • 5 years clinical experience in Child Life Program with exhibited leadership abilities.
