Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
Analyzes and reconciles balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis. Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to account, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions. Analyzes and prepares audit schedules for various expense accounts. Prepares Physician Office Deposit Reconciliation spreadsheets. Maintains the Helen Keller Foundation accounting system/transactions/financial statements. Maintains all of the Hospital's asset records. Assists in monthly financial statement review. Assists with annual external audit. Assists Department Heads and other Helen Keller Hospital employees in research of problems pertaining to Financial Services. HS/GED required. Requires Bachelor Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university. May consider extensive experience in lieu of degree.

Experience: Minimum of one year accounting experience, preferably in health care setting required.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Must be able to communicate effectively and work in a fast paced environment requiring the ability to set priorities, coordinate and organize multiple tasks, and maintain control of work flow. Must be proficient in the use of a ten key calculator and personal computer including word processing and spreadsheet applications. Must be able to reason and solve problems independently. Minimum of one year accounting experience, preferably in health care setting required.
