An accountant plays a crucial role in the smooth running of an organization. He/she has the task of performing a number of tasks from furnishing of financial information to assessing of the completeness of the information. He/she also checks whether the cost of business operation is accurate. He/she also takes care of other financial matters and commitments pertaining to the company. An accountant plays an important role in preparing of monthly and annual financial reports in order to maintain the records which are related to the financial activities of an organization.
Education Required: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university required.
License: Applicant may have certification of public accountant (CPA) but is not required.
Experience: Minimum of one year accounting experience (preferably in health care or public accounting setting) is required. Experience in Medhost, Lawson, and Athena reporting beneficial.
