Overview

Responsible for the coordinating the maintenance and preventive maintenance of the Security and Parking Department's electronic systems. These systems include, but are not limited to, the access control system, CCTV system, key systems, Infant Protection system, parking-fee computer system and the parking gates. Duties also include the training and development of services and staff for such systems.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:

Education/Certification:
High School diploma or GED required. College classes in electrical, computer or criminal justice preferred. Must have the following:
Within 90 Days:

  •  CPR certification
  • Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification
  • IAHSS Basic certification
  • State of Alabama Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement & an up to date/current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate is required
  • Level 1 AIS ESA Certification (if not already certified, employees must study, schedule, and take the exam at their own expense.


Experience:
Experience with access control, key systems, CCTV, parking systems and/or security is required. Must possess a driver's license, be able to obtain a CDL, and be insurable by HH standards. Experience in a healthcare facility is desirable.

Additional Skills/Abilities:
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Excellent customer service and communication skills needed with the ability to enforce policies in an assertive, yet courteous manner. Must have strong mathematical background with ability to learn the various departmental systems.
