Overview

Responsible for reconciling subsidiary accounts to general ledger, analyzing miscellaneous income and expense accounts for third party reimbursement. Maintains data to assist in preparing financial reports and making entries to general ledger. Also Works closely administration and hospital finance department to assure compliance, appropriate accounting policies, procedures, and processes. Assists Director and Program Managers with quality of care, customer service and special projects as assigned.

Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.

Qualifications

Education required: Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance from an accredited college or university. 

Experience: Minimum of 2 years accounting experience (preferably in health care setting) required. General ledger, billing and account receivables experience required.

Additional Skills/Abilities: Must be able to communicate effectively and work in a fast paced environment requiring the ability to set priorities, coordinate and organize multiple tasks and maintain control of work flow.  Must be proficient in the use of various computer programs. Must be able to reason and solve problems independently.
