Conducts mental health assessments, triage, short term counseling, referral and follow-up for Health System employees through Employee Counseling office. Applies counseling skills and expertise to identify employee’s need and meet therapeutic goals.
Education required: MA or MS in mental health related field from an accredited college or university
License, certification and/or registration: Alabama license or certification eligible in field of specialty preferred
Experience: Minimum of two years in mental health related field involving group and individual therapy preferred
Additional skills/abilities: Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Excellent communication skills necessary with the ability to handle difficult interpersonal situations. Must be able to develop classes and present in classroom or group setting.
