Acts as collaborative member of the Working Fit Occupational Health team by providing quality patient care in accordance with established policies, objectives and goals. Performs requested occupational health services, gathers vital signs, prepares patient and exam room for physicals or treatment of injury, and collects specimens. Provides support as needed to assist physician. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Completion of Certified Medical Assistant Program or 3 years of equivalent experience. LPN preferred.
Experience
Minimum of one-year clinical experience in medical setting. Phlebotomy experience required. Experience administering shots preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities
Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be able to use computer, fax machine and copy machine. BLS required within six-month provisional period. Knowledge of OSHA requirements and DOT regulations preferred.
