Overview

The Security Services Manager plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the protective operations of the Security Services department. These operations include security, fire prevention, patient transport, courier services, fleet services, and parking. Duties include the daily operations and the management and performance of Security Supervisors or assigned staff. The Manager must be a strong leader who can provide guidance to all reporting employees to enhance the protection of HH Health.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:

Education/Certification:

High School diploma or GED required.  Prefer Bachelor degree in law, law enforcement or related field with APOST certification. Must have the following:

  • Heart Saver CPR certification (90 days)
  • Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB), OCAT/PATH, or Taser Instructor (12-months)
  • HR Management Series completed (12-months)
  • IAHSS Basic, Advanced, & Supervisor credentialed (12-months)
  • CHPA (24-months)


Experience:

Minimum of 5-7 years supervisory in a comparable security, law enforcement or parking operation. Must possess a driver’s license and be insurable by HH standards.  Experience in health care setting preferred.


Additional Skills/Abilities:
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Excellent customer service and communication skills needed with the ability to enforce policies in an assertive, yet courteous manner. Must possess some computer skills with ability to use word processing and spreadsheet applications.
