Provides guidance and assistance to all participants in Huntsville Hospital’s Quality Management program. Provides direct support to Quality Committees.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
Education
Associate Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university required, Bachelor in Nursing from an accredited college or university preferred.
Experience
Minimum of two years nursing experience in clinical setting preferred. Previous medical staff committee experience preferred. Previous quality improvement and or risk management experience helpful.
Additional Skills/Abilities
Must be able to work independently with strong attention to detail. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be able to work independently. Excellent communication skills necessary with the ability to work effectively with administrators, physicians and people from diverse backgrounds. Must be capable of composing proper written correspondence including all facets of meetings: notification, agendas, written correspondence, and meaningful meeting minutes. Must have working knowledge of fax machine, copy machine, and computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Knowledge of data collection, data analysis, and performance improvement helpful. Strong knowledge of medical/surgical clinical nursing necessary.
