Work directly with HC Physicians, HC Manager/Directors and Administration to facilitate generation and maintenance of the physician resource schedule. Reports to the HC Executive Director of Operations.
1. Work with physicians and administration to generate monthly physician schedules per established policies and procedures.
2.Work with physicians and administration to adjust physician schedule per established policies and procedures.
3.Generate reports monthly to unsure physician time off falls within the established guidelines.
4.Communicate frequently with physicians to insure they are aware of their remaining vacation totals and the deadlines for vacation requests.
5.Review schedules frequently to insure minimum physician coverage assigned.
6.Keep detailed statistics reports to insure physician tasks distributed evenly.
7.Assist Executive Director of Operations and Patient Access Manager with scheduling meetings.
8.Assists Executive Director of Operations and Patient Access Manager with general administrative duties (i.e. copying, faxing, file maintenance, etc.)
9.Work with Administration and the physician Scheduling Committee to identify scheduling process issues and recommend solutions to correct those issues.
10.Work with Physicians Schedule software vendor to make changes in the system.
11.Work with hospital patient coordinators to add physicians to office for limited work-in clinics based on available resources to cover work.
12.Monitor cases in procedure areas, shifting resource to clinic based on procedure volume.
13.Work with Patient Access Manager, Executive Director of Operations and Hospital Coordinators in review and input of monthly physician schedule.
14.Serve as physician resource, assisting physicians with scheduling questions and issues
15.Review reports frequently with Administrative team and Scheduling Committee.

17.Train new employees on the EMR application
18.Train existing staff on any new application upgrades, form changes or changes related to Meaningful Use, Joint Commission or other regulatory requirements.
19.Maintain all current forms in the EMR
20.Make any form altercations in the EMR as requested by physicians/department managers.
21.Ensure the EMR meets all Joint Commission requirements.
22.Ensure the EMR meets all MIPS requirements.
23.Assist physicians/staff to use EMR to meet Meaningful Use to obtain any CMS incentives and/or avoid CMS penalties
24.Assist physicians/staff to use EMR to meet quality measures to avoid CMS penalties
25.
Assist in the conversion of the EMR and GMPS to ICD-10
26.Train the staff in the use of EMR and GPMS as it relates to ICD-10
27.Build any new forms as required for new or related services and implement those new forms with physicians/staff
28.Implement the HIE with all HCI offices
29.Maintain detailed tracking and documentation of all change requests and training
30.Maintain detailed documentation of all attestation to CMS for MIPS
31.Work with HCI IT on any EMR interface issues with other HCI applications.
32.Work with Huntsville Hospital departments on any interface issues with applications that interface with HCI EMR.
33.Work with vendors to assist with EMR issues.
34.Run audit reports of user access and open documents.
35.Learn, build, implement and train any new EMR systems installed.
36.Assumes responsibility for clinical competence and professional development if applicable
37.Attend required meetings, in-services, annual requirements and CBLs
38.Maintain certification if applicable.
39.Demonstrates professionalism in appearance and actions.
40.Maintains patient confidentiality as set forth by HIPPA and HCI guidelines.
41.Support the physicians and administration in a professional manner and works cooperatively with co-workers
42.Demonstrates flexibility when involved in changing situations.
43.Adheres to priorities established by Physicians, President, and Executive Director or Operations.
44.Demonstrates proficiency in Electronic Medical Record, Physician Scheduling software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other computer based programs as necessary to perform job related duties.
High School Diploma/GED required.
College degree preferred.
Five(5) years experience in ambulatory cardiac setting preferred.
