Accountable for the 24hr, day-to-day human resource and staff development aspects of Emergency Services. Effective management of operational and quality related to staff and patient care as under the guidance of the ED Director. Promotes collaborative practice with other departments, providers, schools of nursing, and exhibits the ability to with others to find solutions to difficult human, technical, or administrative issues. Must be able to adjust to and lead others through a rapidly changing environment.

Education Required: Graduate of accredited School of Nursing with current Alabama RN license.
Education Preferred: BSN preferred. RN with BS in health or business management acceptable. Masters preferred.
Experience: Extensive hospital RN experience in which leadership has been exhibited.
Addition Skills/Abilities: Must be able to effectively communicate with employees and managers regarding sensitive and often complicated issues. Must be able and willing to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer, word processing, spreadsheet software, e-mail, copy machines, fax machines, microfiche readers and basic audiovisual equipment.
