Utilizes radiographic techniques to obtain diagnostic images. Mammography experience preferred. Must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast pace environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Follow prescribed techniques in administering general and specific radiographs. Prepare patients for x-rays, explaining procedure, positioning patient and assisting patient at the end of the procedures. Provide protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards. Responsible for delegated areas of authority in the performance or teaching of routine or specialized procedures. Assist in performing first aid as required. Practice sterile technique and prevent cross-contamination.
Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology required.
Must have CPR certification within 6 months of hire.
Must obtain ARRT advanced registry in Mammography within one year of hire.
