The Histotechnologist (HTL, ASCP) performs high volume, repetitive and complex tests in an anatomic pathology laboratory and, using standard procedures, identifies and interprets causes of technical and instrumental problems.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
BS degree from an accredited college or university and one year full time acceptable experience in Histopathology under the supervision of a Pathologist and certification as an HTL (ASCP) required.
Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be able to maintain absolute confidentiality in the handling of patient information. Absolute integrity and accuracy in the identification and reporting of number and names.
