Under the direct supervision of licensed nurses, the EKG/ Phlebotomy Technician performs various duties to assist in the care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures. These duties include, but are not limited to, obtaining EKG�s, venipuncture, ambulation assistance, toilet assistance, feeding, measuring vital signs and blood glucose, and transporting.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required
Education/Licensure: Must have high school diploma or GED.
Experience: No previous experience required, but preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities: BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
