Assist the coordinators and director in research activities.
Education: High School graduate. Associate degree preferred
Experience: Minimum of one year of lab, medical tech, surgical assistant, nursing assistant or clerk (cardiovascular preferred). Clinical Research experience preferred. Batchelor degree in lieu of experience will be considered.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices as mandated by the FDA. Requires constant organizational skills. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. Basic computer skills are a necessity. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, families, physicians and staff. Ability to communicate clearly. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions in order to maintain a safe working environment. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Knowledge of the Research Department’s and The Heart Center’s policies and procedures.
