The Registration Representative is responsible for ensuring that patients from hospital-based practices are properly registered in the EMR/billing software system. This entails making daily rounds to the offices located on or adjacent to the main campus to gather daily documentation, sorting and distributing End of Day paperwork from the offices, registering new patients or revalidating previous patients, and verifying benefits for all. The Registrations Representative is also responsible for alerting management of any disruptions in the processed outlined above so we can maintain a smooth flow of work throughout the various steps in the professional services revenue cycle.
Education: High School diploma or GED; post-secondary education preferred.
Experience: Prior experience in a health care environment strongly preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Strong organizational skills required. Computer literacy and proficiency in Word and Excel required. Ability to maintain a consistent routine in order to complete assigned duties in a timely and accurate manner. Effective interpersonal relationship and communication skills required. Proven effective work habits including regular prompt attendance, dependability, teamwork and initiative required.
